Welcome! My name is Sarah, and Sarah Smith Photography is my side-hustle turned blossoming full-time gig. I specialize in fun, professional, original photoshoots including (but certainly not limited to) family mini sessions, holiday photos, in-home newborn shoots, maternity photos as well as graduation photos. My goal is to keep the photoshoot process lighthearted while capturing authentic pictures that you and your family can cherish for a lifetime. Ditch the expectations of a perfectly polished family (you already know this is impossible if you have a toddler) and enjoy making treasured memories with your loved ones!

The idea to start my own business was initially dreamt up after my beautiful daughter was born. Oh, what a world as a new mom! I couldn’t resist taking endless pictures of those precious first moments with her. It dawned on me how priceless these photos were, and I instantly knew that I wanted to help capture these same memories for other mamas and families alike. I began offering free photoshoot sessions to friends and family. It brought me immense joy to see how happy these photos made my loved ones. I worked hard and quickly built my clientele from word of mouth, referrals, and social media. This creative outlet became a breath of fresh air and filled a hole I didn’t even know I had and truly I put my heart and soul into it.

Every new family I have the opportunity to meet, all the beautiful shoot locations and each dreamy golden hour motivates me to harness my creativity and produce the best pictures for my clients. I find a healthy balance of posed versus candid photos, and I will kindly encourage you to leave your nerves or apprehensions at the door. My photoshoot sessions are all about not taking ourselves too seriously, and rather encapsulating magical memories. Life moves a little faster than we may like at times, and I love nothing more than snapping sweet reminders of how blissful each chapter is.
